Thanks, everyone. Think I answered them all that came in before I went live.

How do you think boards can be motivated/incentivised to use t/20 domestic money to foster good things that cricket needs like associate cricket development, expanding the number of test playing nations and women's tests? Are the big 3 too self interested/badly managed/corrupt and other boards too bankrupt to ever get there? Or is there a pathway (like CA finally funding and promoting women's cricket) that can actually create a better world game? Or do you think a T20 domestic league structure might enable this tangentially somehow? Are there people you know of already working in the background within board structures to try and achieve these broader goals?

You have mentioned the "wobble seam" ball a few times. Can you explain what this delivery actually is? Who was the first bowler to master it?

Hi Jarrod,

Maybe one for your next Wagon Wheel/AMA - You have spoken about the "wobble seam" delivery quite a bit. But what exactly is it? Who pioneered it and who consistently does it well?

Thanks,

Neel

Do you think that the ICC will ever put a restriction on the number of T20 Leagues around the world? And if they will, will they ever prioritise the Leagues played in a year or provide a schedule for them?

A couple for later. One, how do you think Bazball will fare on the dustbowls of India and SL or on the placid wickets of Pakistan, with the latter coming up. Two, do multiple T20 leagues round the year appeal to you, or would they in your opinion appeal to the average cricket fan?

With ODIs on decline in number and unable to hold viewer’s attention in middle periods, do you think its time to ponder replace ODIs with 2 innings T20 format, as Sachin suggested years ago? Can give new life and energy to other formats too!

These days batters scores more runs than nineties, although we have now different rules of power play and new ball , but still do a batsman scoring 100 in times of Wasim Akram McGrath etc can be compared to 100 scored these days . Or either quality of bowling is less as compared to that era?? Or quality of batting is improved??

Could it work if international teams only play ODIs every four years at the WC? The lack of familiarity with the format could make it more exciting. Therefore, international cricket and domestic cricket would only be test/first class and T20s.

What are the main reasons bowlers bowl cross seam deliveries?

Hi Jarrod. It's absolute shambles to see SA playing just 2 test series in the next cycle with an exception of a couple of 3 test series esp when they are quickly becoming possibly the best pace attack in the world and the best part is they are all still young and can become bloody GOATS with time... Any chance you think this FTP can still be modified and they can get more tests somehow if may be they win the WTC next year? Or it's too late and we might never see Rabada playing 100 tests or getting to 500 wickets?

Do you have any opinion about the huge show made in the wake of Scott Boland's Ashes success while there's a total lack of indigenous representation in professional Australian cricket? Not to take away his own indigenous identity, but from what I know he only found out about it well into adulthood by which point he'd already played for Australia. Maybe I'm out of line but I feel like the spectacle around him had a strange edge given indigenous people from indigenous communities are nowhere to be seen in the sport

This summer has been historical for the Netherlands with 4 full time members touring them, courtesy of the ODI Super League. They might not have won anything but some of the matches were incredibly close and Netherlands could have even won some of them had they held on to their nerves. Regardless of the results, this must have been a great learning experience for them, but with the ODI Super League being scrapped for the next ftp cycle, teams will no longer be obligated to play all the other teams and also the numebr of matches played by all teams will no longer have to similar. I think the associate teams will be worst affected by this. How do you think it will affect them?

Hey Jarrod,

Given whatever is happening with schedules and all boards vying for slots for their respective leagues, I was kind of curious about the state of broadcasting rights for test matches. Following the logic that a test lasts way longer than the other formats, so logically it will have more spots for advertisements and other stuff. I do realize that not everyone watches a test match constantly but people do go back and forth between different channels/platforms or check scores/radio commentary in the background quite regularly... I haven't come across many writings that discuss in the backdrop of how broadcasters and boards are valuing, or maybe do not value, different forms of consumption of a test match.

I do remember that you had given this logic way back, another era almost, in your documentary but there wasn't a deep analysis of it! happy to hear from you if you have any updated thoughts on it or if you/someone else has covered the topic.

In one of the recent YouTube episodes Ashwin mentioned importance of 1st class cricket for T20 as well. He cited example of WI. The last generation grew up in the 1st clas era and became superstars in T20s. Current generation has grown up in T20 era and are not dominating like the last generation. What's your take on this theory?

Given the excellent book by David Woodhouse about Englands tour of WI in. 53/54. It made me think can you think of other amazing series (any teams) that aren’t like 81 ashes, 2001 BGT, Bodyline etc

Hi Jarrod, What do you think about this: Give both sides 1 more TV Umpire challenge but then the Umpires must make a decision on all line calls. This would cut down dramatically on worthless delays for stumpings and run outs where it is clear what the decision should be?

And, I have heard you discuss which are your favourite commentators and pundits (some I agree some I dont!) , what about your least favourite list?

Cheers

Nick

Do team analysts have the pace filter when looking at runs scored against a batter?

As a fan, we can find data on the type of bowling but for instance, I want to look for how Mohammad Hafeez n Shoaib Malik do against 135+ ...it's almost impossible to find.

How secure do you think Jason Roy’s future is with England with a World Cup 2 months away? He’s having a pretty drab summer and the country is stacked with explosive openers like Phil Salt, or the possible temptation to put Bairstow or Malan back up the order.
