Great article, Jarrod. I wonder whether a consequence of this change is that the LBW rule in professional cricket is now effectively different from the one that applies in much of the recreational game. My instinct is that front pad LBWs are much rarer in amateur cricket.
I think you are right as a general rule, but having played amateur cricket before and after, I remember it getting far easier to get LBWs when international cricket started. We talk about it on the pod, I basically brought back my slider because I realised suddenly I was getting LBWs again.
