I am convinced that India have exited this tournament not because of losing the toss or because of Rahul or Rohit not playing aggressive cricket, though these are just contributors. They have exited because they are tired and jaded. 12 months of constant travel and that too with the bubble is bound to take its toll. The 4 test series in England was ultra-competitive and that was followed by a month-long ridiculous IPL. Most of the players were very much part of all of these games. It is not just the match-days but even the travel, hotel, meetings etc etc etc that has affected the team. The sole reason behind this is the money-minded BCCI. No one else. Far too long have they treated the players as some wooden logs to the fire. I wonder why none of the former cricketers are criticising the board? What are they afraid of? Former players like Gavaskar, Tendulkar, Laxman, Sehwag, Dravid, Kumble etc if they come at the board really hard, it will have the needed repercussions. Especially Gavaskar, Harsha who have earned enough for more than one lifetime and yet they do not have the backbone to criticise the board. I have only one wish Mr. Kimber. Why don't you pen a hard hitting article or articles that lays threadbare the unscrupulous, selfish, greedy behaviour of the BCCI? These former cricketers are a bunch of mercenaries who can at the most offer some "advise" to the current players but will not utter a word against the board.
