No one expected the Indian team to be all out for 36 in the first test. This is a team going for the WTC. Such teams do not fall like nine pins. Yet they did. No one expected India to win the test in Brisbane either. No team other than the Aussies are expected to win there. Yet they did. No one expected a bench team to win a test match against one of the toughest and full strength side. Yet they did. This series will go in history as one of the odd ones where everything went against expectations.

India is not a good chasing team in foreign condition. They do not have mentally strong batsman in the line up. Even now they dont have. They need people born in year of snake or tiger. India's last tiger was VVS laxman. Sure Ashwin is tiger but he is a bowler. For me india won because there was no politics. its all desperation. Only talent and skill shined brightly.

Ive been following this entire series through these articles and it’s been magical and emotional. If it wasnt for this context I’d have had absolutely no idea who 3/4 of the 4th test indian side were or how on earth they wound up on the field. But I do and I havent enjoyed a series this much in years. I cant put in the hours watching ball by ball anymore but this is the absolute next best thing. Cheers Jarrod.

Not in my wildest dreams could I have conjured up a series win like this. A seminal, awe inspiring, life affirming, feel good series. Take a bow team India!

He is literally god of writing. He sees thing in a funny way. I mean he cut through all the masks in the system and go personal. he has the knack of seeings things and put it in words in very nice way. He never disappointed me for 7 years with his article. He should be chief wiriter of cricinfo. Ian chappell do write well but jarrord is 10 level higher.

India take it on chest and pack a punch on Aus face. For, India, pain has paid. For, Aus, they invited sufferings forever. AUS PAID IN SAME COIN AND A LITTLE MORE.

Pujara and Pant combined like Mohammed Ali. One soaked in the body blows and the other counter punched!

Don’t forget India played this match with 10 men, and won the series after losing three consecutive tosses
